my review of season 3 of the L word

Shane the die-in-the-wool player proposes maraige to Carmen who FINALLY comes out to her family. Helena who must now face S4 going door to door carrying her cleaning bucket asking for jobs. No not really, just one of my fantasies."Hello..I'm from Peabody's Pink Housecleaning Service, " Ok, ok back on track. Tina and her reclaimed positon in the het world. Kit pregnant w/ Mangus' baby while she's in menopause. Alice losing Dana AGAIN! Jenny is not dating a German Sheppard as Tim predicts, but as we can clearly see is back to dating a woman. Oh yes & Dana. She had the biggest transition of them all reuniting w/ Mr. Piddles. "Mr. P? Is that really you?? It is!! Oh how I missed you my Mr. P"
"Tonya did what?? Mr. P are trying to spell something w/ those rocks...??"
Oh yes I forget Bette. I really like her character she came back as the strong leader and w/ a clear plan of child abduction. All kidding aside I think i had more fun this season hosting L word viewings and posting oh sho.com message boards.

Rooting for The L word

Well tonight was the 2nd show of S3. Haven't seen it yet. I got home late. I'm going to be taping it for my friends to watch this weekend. I'm not really emotionally connected to this show. It's just it makes lesbians visible on t.v. even though it's pay-t.v. I would hate to see this show cancelled but as of this date there has been no word of a 4th season renewal yet. Queer as Folk ended last summer. It was time for the show and it's characters to call it a day. The character of Micheal really got on my nerves to the point I just couldn't stand to see, hear his whiney self on my 32" television screen.

My point is if there is going to be a lesbian/gay television show on any network, showtime,hbo,logo, etc; it should be written well, directed and produced with importance and sincerity. Not just for the money or big names. Mostly it should be entertaining. So I'm going to keep watching the L word, even though the storylines are weak. And I know, as well as all of my friends, that not all lesbians look like Bette, Tina, Shane or even Carmen. I say to Showtime: "Oh PLEASE OH PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THE L WORD!"

At least not for 2 more seasons.

Hi. I feel I've been on holiday for at least 3 weeks. Kait came over for x-mas. Then the next day I was off on a 10 day house sitting gig. New Year's Eve day : flood. I think I may be able to post a few pics of what it looked like. Well just wanted to say Happy 2006 to all. later.

I remember on my other blog I had more options ie.fonts, symbols,and colors. But since I wanted a new start this is what I get. Oh well. How are the holidays going for y'all? Mine are going well. I'm keeping expectaions low this year. It helps on the stress meter. I will be back with party updates and goofery of life. Hey that's what I should've named this blog: "The Goofery of Life"

The L Word Returns January 8 2006

Will Shane and Carmen be happy? Will Bette and Tina thrive as new parents? Is Dana going to leave Alice for Lara? Is Jenny crazy? 

How was your Thanksgiving?

The food was good. Kait's turkey came out excellent. We had an epic scrabble session after dinner. I think next year we should just go to someone's house for dinner. I didn't mind hosting. If I didn't have to go to work the next day it might have been better.

Going to be putting up my xmas decorations soon. Sometimes I think some weird little creature that's been living in my boxes is going to pop out and bite me. That's my only concern getting my stuff out to do xmas.


Puffy should be back today from New Orleans. She went down there for 8 days with codepink.org I wonder how that went for her. Perhaps I can post some pictures with her permission. I've heard from another friend who went down there with the red cross, that it was extremely stressful and sad. She saw alot of devastation and loss. She said the red cross organization was politized as well.

/I haven't been out surfing lately. Recently in Sonoma Co. there have been 2 drownings and 1 shark attack. I'm just not into to it for now. Kait and I usually go out on Thanksgiving morning. It is friggin' cold out there! Her ankle has been bothering her and I think I will pass as well. I cleaned my house today. It smells clean. I wouldn't eat off of the floors. I get to work a short day tommorow..YEAH! But my check is going to be small...BOO!
