I remember on my other blog I had more options ie.fonts, symbols,and colors. But since I wanted a new start this is what I get. Oh well. How are the holidays going for y'all? Mine are going well. How was your Thanksgiving?

The food was good. Kait's turkey came out excellent. We had an epic scrabble session after dinner. I think next year we should just go to someone's house for dinner. I didn't mind hosting. If I didn't have to go to work the next day it might have been better.

Going to be putting up my xmas decorations soon. Sometimes I think some weird little creature that's been living in my boxes is going to pop out and bite me. That's my only concern getting my stuff out to do xmas.


Puffy should be back today from New Orleans. She went down there for 8 days with codepink.org I wonder how that went for her. Perhaps I can post some pictures with her permission. I've heard from another friend who went down there with the red cross, that it was extremely stressful and sad. She saw alot of devastation and loss. She said the red cross organization was politized as well.

/I haven't been out surfing lately. Recently in Sonoma Co. there have been 2 drownings and 1 shark attack. I'm just not into to it for now. Kait and I usually go out on Thanksgiving morning. It is friggin' cold out there! Her ankle has been bothering her and I think I will pass as well. I cleaned my house today. It smells clean. I wouldn't eat off of the floors. I get to work a short day tommorow..YEAH! But my check is going to be small...BOO!

Doh! 

It Just Doesn't Get Any Worse

I was thinking that I have been into running since I was 16 and it's this ongoing love affair that in return at times gives me knee pain, dehydration, minor low back pain and yet I still do it. And I probably will continue on for another 30 or more years plus. The other day I was just out for 30 minutes or less but I had about 10 or 7 min. to go and my legs were feeling heavy. God dammit! Why don't I have that spring that I used to have? Age.....(music turns maudlin)

But after when I got home I still felt like I always do. The rested and sweaty feeling after a run, long or short. My legs felt fluid and loose. My mind was at ease, calm and serene. Something deep in my psyche relieved, I earned my run with all the endorphins and sweat, like medicine. And yet maybe I wasn't faster than the day before I still show up and pant down the street. So it really can't get any worse, can it? The real question: can it get any better?

I was sittng here eating lunch and decided to put on my "When I look into Your Eyes" CD by Diana Krall, and checked on her website and found that yesterday, 11/16 was her birthday. So happy belated Diana Krall! I tried to post a picture of her on my blog but the darn hello/picasa thingy won't work today... blah.

The Ramblings of Soul Surfer

Well hello there!
I haven't been on here as much as I've liked to. Getting over a cold. Pre-Bird Flu! Been playing with my new Pioneer DJM-500 mixer. Can't figure how to hook it up to my speakers on my stereo. But it works fine with my mixer on my PC and headphones. I did go out and vote Tues. And yes it was a victory for the Dems. Unfortunately measure M in Sonoma county did not pass. If anything it will make the citizens of Sonoma co. aware of genetically engineered food vs. Organic food.

I got all irate about O'Reily's comments about the Coit tower this week. Considering that I personally know members of the Coit family, I was disgusted by this so called conservative idiot that he is. I'm sure my friend and her family have just shrugged it off.

The holidays are in gear. I'm not much into going shopping. I dig the xmas tunes though. I asked Kait if it would be okay to use one of our photos and slap it on a xmas card this year. She said she was all for it but didn't feel like signing all of the cards. Scrooge! I am trying not to listen to xmas songs until at least the last week of Nov. I don't want to get sick of them 2 weeks before Dec. 24 or sooner.

Well I'm off to work. Tomorrow Kait and I are going to attempt to make a pot roast in a crock pot for the 1st time. Rats off to ya!

Let's Groove Tonight.....

Well I didn't go to a vigil tonight. I went & ran about 4 miles. I guess my priorites are different than I thought. I'm trying not to get my hopes up about "Fitzmas in November" even though it sounds like cutains for Rover & Dickie.
Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox. I am sure somewhere my ex Colleen is getting really drunk. Something about Sox fans, they are not like A's fans, you know fair-weathered, root for your team when they are winning. Sox fans are true and border line obsesive. I remember that skit on SNL. These Sox/Bulls fans were sitting around that table eating links and drinking beer, then pan to this woman in a dress with make-up caked on her face talking in an exaggerated south side accent and I turned to Colleen and said, "Do they really act like that?" She said "Yeah" while she was rolling on the floor.
Tommorow we go to therapy. Sometimes I wonder if the therapist is anxious to let us go. I think she likes us(when we're not fighting). Well we'll see.

E-Bay Sucks the big red dick in HELL!!!

Well my friends let me tell you...I have had one really long and dissatisfying experience dealing with these morons at ebay. I bought something off an auction. My mistake was to pay the seller with a cashier's check. Well I did, sent it off and waited for my merchandise. It turns out he's been suspended and is going to send my money back. That was 3 weeks ago. I contacted ebay for support. They give you alot of options. But if you get boned, you just get boned. I have filed a fraud alert against the seller. And I'm in the process of contacting the local authorities of the seller's city. I'm also considering small claims court. As for ebay heed my advice; just don't!

uh..I think we're at red today. 

Well it looks like Wilma is heading to Cancun and beyond. Too bad Betty won't be with her. Prayers & thoughts of light and love to those who are in her path.
